Internal Influences

These are the aspects of a firm that management has some degree of control over - SOME. The decisions made in these areas can have unforeseen impacts on the business and performance. However, because the decision was undertaken without external compulsion, they are considered internal.

Lines are blurred, however, because the decision to amend some internal process (product mix, for example) can be an attempt to respond to external pressures (like new competitors).
