Inputs

All operations processes require elements from the external environment, people and economy (other businesses) to run.

Inputs can be classified into those which are transformed in the operations process; and those which perform the transformation.

Every operation requires different combinations of inputs. 

Inputs are expensive (cost of goods sold and expenses) and are related to the supply chain, technology and human resources.
