New in Stock - Preliminary Exam Business Report Samples (Band 6 Exemplar)
The 3rd section requires you to pretend you are a business consultant.
It is the same game as the Business Report in the Preliminary Exam - just with HSC content.
You are presented with a business that is having specific issues. You are required to write a report responding to (usually) 3 distinct questions.
Your job is to apply business theory to this specific business.
There is a clear formula for writing business reports.
Executive Summary - Overview of business scenario and an outline of the contents of the report
Body / Sections - Usually three. Drawn directly from the question. Here you demonstrate understanding of business theory and make direct links and recommendations to the hypothetical business. Use sub-headings. The bulk of your marks come from this section. The body section is basically three separate short response questions that you are bundling together into a single extended response. Directive terms must be followed.
Summary of Recommendations (non-essential but produce if time)
NOTE: There is no requirement for a SWOT Analysis in your examination response. This wastes time and adds little to what markers can provide. PLEASE do not do a SWOT Analysis (unless, of course, one of the dot-point questions require you to do this).
