Fair Work Act 2009 

This act of federal parliament covers all areas of Industrial Relations regulation; administered by Federal government. 

The legislation covers the following major areas of law relating to Human Resources:

• Employment Contracts

• Rights and Obligations of Employer and Employee

• Minimum Employment Standards

• Minimum Wage Rates and processes for determination

• Awards

• Enterprise Agreements

• Protections from unfair dismissal;

• Collective bargaining / good faith required by all parties in negotiations.
