Study Cards

Creating study cards and using them in specific ways will result in fast and accurate recall capacity for Business Studies concepts and terminology. 

It's called Spaced Repetition and Retrieval. 

The system forces your brain to strengthen connections by demanding recall without prompts. Over time and repetition, concepts will be reinforced through the process of remembering, checking, and forgetting - remembering, checking and forgetting.

This process more accurately reflects the nature of examination conditions - where you have a small prompt (the question) and are then forced to retrieve relevant concepts and terminology. If the pathways are not forged and strengthened through effort, the recall will not be there!

Train hard and smart so the actual game is easy.

Finally, the system allows efficiency. You have finite time. There is no point continuing to recall concepts you have already mastered. Have different piles and move cards back and forth according to recall:

• Cards you know well (review once a month), 

• Cards you kinda have (review weekly), and 

• Cards you still don't get (review daily).

Ask your classmates or a family member to quiz you - verbalising your responses bolsters the neural connect even more as others parts of your brain are being incorporated. The memory becomes more globally distributed in your brain (amazing!) making it easier to recall.
