Employment Contracts

Legally binding formal agreement between employer and employee to clarify specific right and responsibilities of both parties.

Employment contracts can be: 

• individualised / customised for some roles; 

• derived from enterprise agreements that may be above or equial to award conditions; or 

• they can be standardised for an industry based on the award rate (lowest legal rate of pay and conditions)

• permanent, temporary, full-time, part-time, or casual

Contracts grant clarity and legal protection to both parties.
